Chris Sapp
Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs

Chris Sapp has been named defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for the University of Rochester football team in the spring of 2018.

Sapp had previously spent the last six years at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.  During his time with the Polar Bears, he served as special teams coordinator, defensive backs coach, running backs coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

In 2014, Sapp was a guest coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.

Prior to coaching at Bowdoin, Sapp was a defensive graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee State University where he helped coach two future NFL players.

From 2006-10, Sapp coached at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, assisting with wide receivers and returners.  He and current UR Head Coach Chad Martinovich were at RPI for four seasons together.  Sapp also spent time at Division I Clemson University where he was an administrative assistant for football operations during the 2005-06 season.

Sapp attended North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina where he was a three-year starter and two-time captain for the Crusaders.  He graduated from NGU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and minored in Business Administration in 2005.

He also earned a Master’s Degree in Human and Health Performance from Middle Tennessee State University in 2011.

Randi Moore
Co-Special Teams Coordinator/Linebackers

Randi Moore joins the University of Rochester football coaching staff in the spring of 2018 and will serve as co-special teams coordinator and linebackers coach.

Moore has previously worked at Lock Haven University as assistant football coach for the past four years.  While with the Bald Eagles, Moore worked as defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator, linebackers coach and defensive backs coach.  He also was Lock Haven’s camp director and Director of Campus Operations.

At Lock Haven, he coached two All-Americans and six All-Conference players.

Prior to his stint at Lock Haven, Moore coached at Allegheny College (2013-14), LIU-Post (2007-13) and was JV Head Coach and varsity defensive coordinator at Holy Cross High School in Queens, NY (2003-07).

Moore attended Long Island University-C.W. Post Campus and played football for the Pioneers.  He was a three-year starter at strong safety.  He graduated with an Elementary Education degree in 2003.

Seth Williams
Defensive Line

Williams joins Rochester’s gridiron staff in 2018 after spending the last three years with Endicott College.

While at Endicott, was the Gulls defensive backs coach and junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator.  He also was pass game coordinator and wide receivers and tight ends coach during his time in Beverly, MA.

Williams also served as a graduate assistant coach at Utica College from 2011 through 2015, coaching with the Pioneers and holding a variety of roles, including wide receivers coach, kick returners coach, tight ends coach and junior varsity head coach.

He attended college at St. John Fisher College and was an active member of the Cardinal football team, both as a player and coach.  SJFC enjoyed some of the programs best success during Williams’ time, including reaching the NCAA Division III semifinals in 2006 and NCAA quarterfinals in 2007.  With the Cardinals, Williams was a wide receivers coach, and was JV offensive coordinator.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in History, minoring in Communications from St. John Fisher in 2010.  At Utica, Williams earned a master’s degree in Adolescent Education in 2015.
